Psychophysiologist | Gut-Directed Hypnotherapist

Sophie Kane is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician with a special interest in supporting individuals experiencing eating disorders, disordered eating, and complex relationships with food.

Sophie is passionate about helping clients build a more peaceful, sustainable relationship with food, eating, and their bodies. She understands that eating can feel overwhelming, emotionally complex, and deeply connected to life experiences, and she prioritises creating a space that feels safe, supportive, and free from judgement.

Using a compassionate, weight-inclusive, and evidence-based approach, Sophie works collaboratively with patients to explore the behaviours, thoughts, emotions, and routines influencing their relationship with food. Her goal is to help patients rebuild body trust, reduce distress around eating, and move towards greater flexibility and freedom with food.

Sophie has experience supporting a broad range of presentations including eating disorders, disordered eating, body image concerns, ARFID, gastrointestinal conditions, and disorders of gut–brain interaction. She has a particular interest in the intersection between gastrointestinal symptoms and eating difficulties, recognising the significant impact digestive health can have on food fears, restriction, anxiety around eating, and quality of life.

Sophie works closely within multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic, individualised care that supports both nutritional rehabilitation and overall wellbeing.
